Introducing Ihor, Systems Administrator Super Star
Ihor joined our bunch of renegade Brainiacs this year to help us out with systems administration and in the very important role of Junior DevOps engineer. His core role will be to work on the automation of the CI/CD process across several of our ongoing projects.
Ihor has worked in the IT space for more than 12 years with his main focus being on Networking. “My previous work background has helped me really understand processes and how systems should work, which in turn has helped me to take existing solutions and think out of the box to come up with the most optimal route to take when it comes to implementing new processes.”
What appeals to Ihor most about what he does?
“That’s easy! The best part of what I do is taking complex and bulky systems apart, simplifying them and improving all the processes to meet best practices.” Explains Ihor.
Ihor is not just a systems whiz, he’s also obsessed with learning new things. Every night he takes to the internet to read about a topic he has very little knowledge of. It keeps his mind fresh and open to new ways of thinking. He’s also quite the adventurer, listing snowboarding and rafting as his go-to out of office sports.
If Ihor could switch careers for a day he’d like to get his wings and join the guys in Top Gun as a jet pilot. We can certainly understand the appeal and it certainly makes sense for this explorer of all things new and interesting.
Everyone has a few things they simply can’t do without. For Ihor these three elements are: communication and connection with his fellow humans, an exciting hobby to keep him busy in his spare time and the beauty that diversity in all things bring to this planet. We couldn’t agree with you more.
