Introducing Pavel, Mathematician and Mad Skilled Backend Developer
Dev guru, number savant, knowledge thirsty — these are the terms floating around the office we use to describe him. All these things aside though, Pavel primarily handles our backend and front-end development which forms the backbone of our team’s output.
Pavel’s education and background in mathematics has resulted in a razor sharp intellect and analytical mind. “I have a mathematical education, but in itself it doesn’t really help. The most important and necessary thing is not to stop learning every day” says Pavel. He enjoys problem solving and finding new ways to make his output more efficient and streamlined. “I like to constantly improve my skills in terms of speed. I like to dive into the process and I like to analyze possible options and choose cleaner and understandable solutions” he adds.
Pavel isn’t content to confine his interests to one channel, he enjoys reading various articles and journals about the latest technological developments, reviews and thought-starters from various fields. He constantly searches for new ideas and how he can incorporate these into Brain’s projects and development. He specifically enjoys reading habrahabr.ru, explaining that “it publishes new ideas, reviews and experiences of people in various fields. Each article is critiqued by a large community — I feel like it really makes the content credible”
Ever the applyer of sound logic and reason, when asked what he cannot live without, Pavel naturally responds, “I cannot live without food, water, and air…and impressions”, he’s also got a pretty wicked sense of humour so we can’t say we’re surprised by his dry response 😉
Pavel’s favourite quote by Lao Zi in the Tao de Jing “Immaculate in spirit will not be defeated by his death” speaks perfectly to his own character. Pavel is a man guided by ethics and honesty and it is a privilege to work with someone who is honourable in deed and action.
